BOARD OF EDUCATION

AND

THE HUNTERDON CENTRAL REGIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

2005/2006 and 2006/2007

Schedule C Recommendations

1. All levels stipend will be based on the Head Football coaches’ stipend for that year.

2. During the contract years 05-06 & 06-07 some current Schedule C stipends may be reduced or frozen. Any HCEA member who currently holds a Schedule C position and remains in that position will NOT have their stipend reduced. Any agreed upon stipend reduction shall take place when the current HCEA advisor resigns from their current position. Any HCEA member (who continues in their current Schedule C position), that is scheduled for a stipend reduction according to the new Schedule C guide, will have their stipend frozen until they resign that position or the current stipend is surpassed by the new negotiated stipend.

3. The Math League and Mu Alph Theta are combined into a new club called Math Club.

4. Future Problem Solvers and American Technology are removed from Schedule C, since they have not run in several years.

5. The Band Camp Stipend is included in the Band Director’s Stipend.

Workload Agreement between HCEA and the HCRHS Board of Education

    1. Teachers who teach 6 blocks/classes a year will not be assigned any 5th block duties (detention, supervision, etc).

    2. Teachers who teach 6 blocks/classes a year will be allowed two curriculum days during the school year to work on school related materials. These days must be agreed to in advance with their immediate supervisor and can only be denied due to a shortage of substitutes for the day requested. Teachers approved for a curriculum day during the school year are expected to be in school during normal working hours.

    3. HCEA and the HCRHS Board of Education, through SDM committees, will study and assess the possibilities of; (1) using a rotating schedule to alleviate the frequency of having three blocks in a row, and (2) a modified team teaching schedule to reduce the workload of teachers of 6 blocks.
