    AMENDMENT OF CERTIFICATION
    OF REPRESENTATIVE
    On August 12, 1982, a Petition for Amendment of Certification was filed with the Public Employment Relations Commission ( A Commission @ ) pursuant to N.J.A.C. 19:11-1.6 by Oil, Chemical and Atomic Workers International union ( A the Union @ ). The union seeks to have the Commission amend Certification of Representative issued by the Commission on February 16, 1978.
    The initial certifications designed Oil, Chemical and Atomic Workers International Union, Local 8-562 as the majority representative of two units of employees of the Ocean County Utilities Authority1/ ( A Authority @ ): A All production and maintenance recordskeeper, excluding all clerical employees, confidential employees, craft employees, managerial executives, police, supervisors within the meaning of the Act, professional employees, and all others; @ and A all craft employees, including laboratory technicians, electricians, apprentice electricians, apprentice electricians, mechanics, mechanic aides, operators, apprentice operators, operator trainees, employed by the Ocean County Sewerage Authority, excluding non-craft employees, clerical employees, confidential employees, professional employees, production and maintenance employees, police, managerial executives, supervisors within the meaning of the Act: specifically, plant operator, plant electrician, plant mechanic, assistant service area supervisor, engineering and construction department employees, and all other employees. @
    The Union has requested that the Commission amend the Certifications to reflect the transfer of the units from Local 8- 562 to Local 8-958. The public employer has indicated that it has no objection to the issuance of amended certifications.
    The undersigned has caused an administrative investigation to be conducted into the matters involved in this Petition.
    The Union has satisfactorily demonstrated that the membership of Local 8-562 who are employed by the Authority, upon proper notification and by secret ballot vote, voted to change their membership to the Union = s Local 8-958. The Union has also demonstrated that there is a continuity of unit composition; and stewards and officers have continued in their representative roles since the change.
    In consideration of the foregoing, and in accordance with the Commission = s Rules, the Certifications of Representative, issued by the Commission on February 16, 1978, are hereby amended to reflect that the name of the exclusive negotiations representative is Oil, Chemical and Atomic Workers International Union, Local 8-958.
