INTERLOCUTORY DECISION
On April 21, 1987, the Matawan Regional School District Board of Education appeared before me and filed an amendment to Scope of Negotiations Petition, Docket No. SN-87-61 with the Public Employment Relations Commission, in which it seeks to restrain an arbitration scheduled for April 23, 1987. The arbitration pertains to the increase in homeroom duty assignments for the 1986-87 school year.
The Petition was accompanied by an Application for Interim
Relief and an Order to Show Cause.
It appearing from the record before me that to the extent the decision to increase homeroom duty assignments was based upon educational policy, the arbitration is restrained. However, to the extent of compensation for the increased homeroom duty is a severable issue, the application for restraint is denied and the arbitration may go forward on that issue.
