AMENDMENT OF CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVE

On August 27, 1981, a Petition for Amendment of Certification was filed pursuant to N.J.A.C. 19:11-1.6 with the Public Employment Relations Commission (the A Commission @ ) by State Troopers NCO Association of New Jersey, Inc., F.O.P. Lodge 21 ( A Lodge 21") seeking to amend a Certification of Representative issued by the Commission on November 21, 1972.
The initial Certification designated State Troopers NCO Association of New Jersey ( A Association @ ) as the majority representative of the public employees in the negotiations unit described therein.
Lodge 21 has requested that the Commission amend this Certification to reflect the affiliation of the certified representative with the Fraternal Order of Police. The public employer has indicated it has no objection to the issuance of an amended Certification.
The undersigned has caused an investigation to be conducted into the matters involved in this petition.
The Association/Lodge 21 has demonstrated that the membership of the Association, upon proper notification and by secret ballot voted on May 1, 1980 to affiliate with the Fraternal Order of Police. Lodge 21 has also demonstrated that there is a continuity of unit composition and there has been a complete transfer of Association officers and members of the unit.
In consideration of the entire record herein, including the foregoing, and in accordance with the Commission = s Rules, the Certification of Representative is hereby amended to reflect that State Troopers NCO Association of New Jersey, Inc.--F.O.P. Lodge 21 is the exclusive negotiations representative.
