AMENDMENT OF CERTIFICATION
OF REPRESENTATIVE
On March 1, 1996, a Petition for Amendment of Certification was filed pursuant to N.J.A.C . 19:11-1.6 with the Public Employment Relations Commission by Communications Workers of America, Local 1085, seeking to amend a Certification of Representative issued by the Commission on April 27, 1978.
The initial Certification designated the Borough of Glassboro Clerical Workers Association as the majority representative of a unit of all white collar employees employed by the Borough of Glassboro.
Local 1085 has requested that the Commission amend this Certification to reflect the transfer of the unit from the Association to Local 1085.
The public employer has no objection to the issuance of an amended Certification.
The undersigned has caused an investigation to be conducted into the matters involved in this petition.
The Association has demonstrated that its members, upon proper notification and by secret ballot, voted on February 16, 1996, to change their membership to Local 1085. The Association has also demonstrated that there is a continuity of unit composition and there has been a complete transfer of union officers and members of the unit.
In consideration of the entire record, and in accordance with the Commission's rules, the Certification of Representative issued by the Commission on April 27, 1978, is amended to reflect that Communications Workers of America, Local 1085 is the exclusive negotiations representative.
