Synopsis:
The Executive Director dismisses a petition filed by the International Brotherhood of Firemen and Oilers, Local 473, ALF-CIO. In the absence of exceptions, the Executive Director adopts the Hearing Officer's Report and Recommendations pro forma. The Hearing Officer found the petition to have been timely filed but he found the unit sought - basically a unit of blue-collar employees - to be inappropriate in view of the existence of a previously certified and broader negotiating unit.
