NO. 83-1 STATE OF NEW JERSEY PUBLIC EMPLOYMENT RELATIONS COMMISSION BEFORE THE DIRECTOR OF REPRESENTATION In the Matter of DOVER BOARD OF EDUCATION, Public Employer, -and- Docket No. AC-82-4 DOVER SUPPORTIVE STAFF ASSOCIATION, Petitioner. Paul Muni, Assistant Superintendent For the Petitioner New Jersey Education Association (William Bulmer, UniServ Representative) AMENDMENT OF CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVE On April 14, 1982, a Petition for Amendment of Certification was filed pursuant to N.J.A.C. 19:11-1.6 with the Public Employment Relations Commission ( A Commission @ ) by Dover Supportive Staff Association ( A Supportive Staff Association @ ) seeking to amend a Certification of Representative issued by the Commission on February 23, 1976. The initial certification designated Dover Educational Secretaries Association as the majority representative of A all secretarial and clerical employees employed by the Dover Board of Education, excluding confidential employees, professional employees, supervisors within the meaning of the Act and managerial executives. @ The Supportive Staff Association has requested that the Commission amend the certification to reflect the change of the name of the organization to Dover Supportive Staff Association. The public employer has indicated no objection to the issuance of an amended certification. The undersigned has caused an administrative investigation to be conducted into the matters involved in this Petition. The Supportive Staff Association has demonstrated that the membership of the former Association, upon proper notification and by secret ballot vote, voted to change the corporate name of the organization to Dover Supportive Staff Association. The Supportive Staff Association has also demonstrated that there is a continuity of unit composition and there has been a complete transfer of officers of the Association. In consideration of the foregoing, and in accordance with the Commission = s rules, the Certification of Representative is hereby amended to reflect that the name of the exclusive negotiations representative is Dover Supportive Staff Association.
