More than 40 years of experience as a public sector attorney. Handled numerous grievance arbitrations on behalf of the State of New Jersey.

Member of CWA/State of New Jersey mediation panel. As a public sector attorney, I was involved with several cases that were successfully mediated and settled.

OTHER RELEVANT OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE:
I am a former Senior Deputy Attorney General and Certified Criminal Trial Attorney with extensive public sector legal experience. I began my legal career as a prosecutor at both the state and county levels and tried approximately 70 jury trials involving a wide variety of criminal cases.
I transferred to the civil side of the Attorney General's office to represent the Department of Education in the national precedent setting administrative law hearing of 105 days that resulted in the creation of a State-operated school district in Jersey City. Subsequently, I handled the successful Paterson School District takeover case and also the Newark School District takeover case in which the State achieved a victory of summary decision saving the State a substantial amount of resources.
My civil experience included representing the Department of Environmental Protection, the Executive Commission on Ethical Standards, the Department of Personnel, and the State Police. During almost the last 20 years of my public sector practice, I represented the Governor's Office of Employee Relations in labor matters that were arbitrated or heard by the Public Employment Relations Commission. I was the acknowledged labor law expert for the State, handling all State Police labor matters and representing the State in a wide variety of labor matters for other State departments and the Judiciary.
I regularly provided labor law training to my colleagues and clients and have spoken at statewide labor law programs. I have served as a faculty member for the Attorney General's Advocacy Institute.
