GRIEVANCE ARBITRATION EXPERIENCE:
For the past 30 years have served as a grievance and interest arbitrator in the public and private sectors. Public sector cases include: teachers, sanitation workers, firefighters, police, clerical employees; school administrators, nurses, hospital employees, highway employees, and welfare workers. Private sector cases include: retail and telecommunications industries, broadcasting, professional sports, steel, paper, utilities, aerospace, manufacturing, chemical, insurance, freight, mining, communications, food and beverage, hospitality, airlines, railroads, chemical, newspaper, and pharmaceutical industries. Currently, am PERMANENT ARBITRATOR for: Southwest Airlines and AMFA, Merck and USW, State of Connecticut and Ct. State Police Union, NBC and NABET-CWA, United Airlines and Association of Flight Attendants, United Airlines and the IAMAW, AT & T and CWA, Volvo North America and UAW, Sikorsky Aircraft and Teamsters Local 1150, Lockheed Martin and IAMAW, TJX Companies and Joint Board - Workers United SEIU, Endeavor Airlines and ALPA, New Jersey State Judiciary and PANJ. Since 1978, have served in dozens of interest disputes involving police and firefighters in New Jersey, New York, and Delaware. Have also served as an interest arbitrator in the private sector, primarily in the newspaper industry.

MEDIATION AND FACT-FINDING EXPERIENCE:
For the past 30 years have served as a public sector mediator and fact-finder in hundreds of disputes in New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut. Those disputes have involved teachers, sanitation workers, professors, utility workers, firefighters, police, clerical employees, welfare workers, school employees, and highway employees and toll collectors.

OTHER RELEVANT OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE:
For 16 years, I was a tenured professor at the Institute of Management & Labor Relations. Rutgers University, where I still am a frequent lecturer. I am a regular speaker at various conferences and seminars throughout the United States and Canada. I have authored two books and numerous articles on labor relations topics. I served for two terms on the Board of Directors of the American Arbitration Association, and have chaired the AAA's National Labor Management Task Force. I am the co-chair of the AAA's Philadelphia Employment Arbitration Advisory Council. In 2016, I was awarded the Peggy Browning Award for my contributions to the labor-management community and in 2018 I was awarded the Judge William B. Groat Award by Cornell University for distinguished service as an arbitrator and mediator of labor and employment disputes. Member of the AAA Arbitrator National Advisory Committee. In August 2023, Lawyer Monthly Magazine, which is an international periodical published in Great Britain, issued its ADR Awards issue, and I was named Mediator of the Year for the United States.

CANCELLATION NOTICE AND FEE (if any): Full per diem fee is charged if less than 20 full business days’ notice prior to date of hearing. Hearing Time: My per diem for each day or any part thereof spent hearing a case is: $2,700. Depending on the length of
additional time, I charge one-half day. Travel Time: If my travel time in a day exceeds 6 hours, I charge a pro-rated fee for travel time.
