GRIEVANCE ARBITRATION EXPERIENCE:
As a public and private sector arbitrator, I have issued in excess of 130-grievance awards on assorted issues including NYS teacher tenure disputes. In the public sector, I have ruled on grievances arising in secondary schools, public universities, uniformed services (police and fire), municipalities (non-uniformed services); counties; and federal agencies.

Among the grievance issues on which I have issued awards are: arbitrability; unit work; discrimination, harassment and disability; contracting; retaliation; scheduling; threats; snow days; union activity; reappointment; vacation; out-of-title work; job posting; layoff; absenteeism; discipline & discharge; computer use/social media; alcohol and/or CDS; performance; safety; theft; fraud; premium pay; health insurance (change of carriers, coverage); holiday pay; and leaves of absence.

Arbitration rosters include: American Arbitration Association (Labor & Employment); Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service; FINRA (Employment); NJ State Board of Mediation and Pennsylvania Bureau of Mediation

Since 2006, I have mediated in excess of 355 employment and labor disputes, including claims under the USPS's REDRESS Program, and as a contract mediator for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and United States Veterans' Administration.
