GRIEVANCE ARBITRATION EXPERIENCE:
I have served as a grievance arbitrator in both public and private sector cases. Public cases include police officers, clerical employees, municipal employees and security guards. Private cases include steelworkers, hotel employees, service employees and mine workers involving issues of absenteeism, arbitrability, discharge, discipline, holidays, vacations, job classification, work jurisdiction, seniority, layoff, bumping and recall rights, contract terms, past practice, wages. I have served as a mediator for the United States Postal Service from 1998 to present hearing cases of employment discrimination and workplace issues. I have served as a mediator for the New York Service City Civilian Complaint Review Board from 2006 to present. PER DIEM FEES:

CANCELLATION NOTICE AND FEE (if any): The fee is $1,600 per day, up to seven (7) hours for the hearing, research and preparation of the opinion and award. Notice of cancellation of the agreed upon hearing date must be received at least fourteen (14) calendar days before the date of the hearing. If notice is received after fourteen days, the parties will be responsible for the per diem rate of $1600 for the late cancellation. Arbitrator's travel time is pro-rated based on daily per diem of $125 per hour. The arbitrator charges the actual cost for transportation, lodging and any other associated costs.
