GRIEVANCE ARBITRATION EXPERIENCE:
Fully familiar with grievance arbitration in public and private sectors. Over forty-five years' experience in grievance processing/adjudication and arbitration hearings. Public sector cases include police, firefighters, school employees, municipal, county, State employees, nurses, transportation, utility workers, and health care employees. Private sector cases include hospitals, nursing homes, insurance, utilities, chemical, cinema, welfare/pension funds, transportation, construction, manufacturing, bottling industry. Issues: discrimination, arbitrability, just cause, discipline, wage rate, holiday pay, compensation, termination, pension, vacation, overtime, promotions, layoff, seniority, management rights, past practice.
MEDIATION AND FACT-FINDING EXPERIENCE:
Extensive experience with mediation and fact-finding. Served as mediator and/or fact-finder in disputes involving police officers, school employees (teachers, secretaries, custodians, bus drivers, maintenance employees, and administrators), municipal employees, sanitation workers, clerical employees, county nursing home employees, utility authority, sewerage authority, water commission employees. State of NJ (OER) and CWA, State of NJ (OER)/State PBA (SLEU)
